Office Policies:
Offices hours of the County Clerk of Hartley County are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday. We close for lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. daily
Hartley County Clerk has the following office policies:
In order to have a Probate hearing as early as possible, any new Application to Probate Will must be filed by 3:00 p.m on Thursday. Citations on new Applications to Probate Will filed after 3:00 p.m. on Thursday will be issued and posted on Friday. The cost for filing an Application to Probate Will is $236.00. Letters are $2.00 each.
Recordings should be filed by 3:00 p.m. Please notify the office if you will be filing recordings later than 3:00 p.m., so special arrangements can be made. Recording fees are $16.00 for the first page and $4.00 for each additional page. Original instruments are required. We appreciate a postage paid envelope for returning the original to you.
Hartley County has a fax filing plan which allows you to file your original petition and subsequent documents by fax. Fees, if any are due, must be paid at the time of filing. Hartley County contracts with Official Payments Corporation (OPC), at http://officialpayments.com, for your convenience. All major credit cards are accepted by OPC.
Hartley County is a Constitutional County Court. Basic Civil Fee is $197.00
